With the Supreme Court finally weighing in on health care reform, employers have a lot to think about.  Our HNI U event this week, The Supreme Court Ruling: Health Care Reform One Step at a Time, will go through what you should do to continue to plan for implementation of the law and how it should impact your employee benefits strategies.

Many continue to misunderstand how Health Care Reform will change the health care industry.  Despite the confusion, the Supreme Court’s ruling means that implementation of Health Care Reform will continue to move forward.

During our HNI U event this week, The Supreme Court Ruling: Health Care Reform One Step at a Time, will explain the major provisions of Health Care Reform, discuss what employers should do to continue to plan for implementation of the law, and help employers understand how Health Care Reform will impact their employee benefits strategies.  (Legal lingo will be kept to a minimum – promise!)

Do you have a question on health care reform?  This is your chance to get it answered at our webinar this week!

In light of the overwhelming response we’ve received to our webinar, we want to make sure we answer as many questions as possible during our limited time.  Renee Kuhs, Compliance Attorney and Steve Hook, Benefits Practice Leader will be answering audience questions during the webinar, but by submitting your question now we will make sure we address your question.

Preparation is key to successful implementation

Those that have taken a "wait and see" approach to health care reform need to move quickly to strategize about how to respond.  Some of the changes mandated by health care reform are already in effect, while others will be phased in over the next several years.

Educating yourself early will help you to understand the implications of this law and prepare your company and your employees for the approaching changes.  Some of the most drastic provisions go into effect in 2014 (like the "Play or Pay" fine for employers) , but advance planning is key.
