What inspired you to make a career move to HNI?

Monica, a current HNI employee, would not stop bragging about how great of a company HNI is. I had been looking to challenge myself and make a career move for some time - her passion drove me to apply. After meeting with the People Team, I began to understand what all the hype was about - I wanted to be a part of the HNI team.

What were you most surprised to learn about HNI?

Before even starting at HNI, a first day itinerary along with a welcome package was sent to my home. It was so great to know they were excited for me to start. HNI really cares about their employees and goes the extra mile to demonstrate that. 

Additionally with being new to the industry, there are numerous opportunities to learn and grow your career. HNI supports that by offering classes on site and encouraging their gamechangers to continue their educational journey.

What would people be surprised to learn about you?

I love dancing - and frequently spend my weekends perfecting my skills alongside my husband. I also enjoy playing volleyball and cooking. 

How do you plan to spend your mandatory 1-week unplug?

I have NO PLANS - which is amazing. I will most likely spend it with my husband and two kids. 

What is your goal for your first year at HNI?

To learn as much as I can about this new industry and become highly effective in my role. When a client calls, I want to be able to know exactly how to help them in the most efficient way possible.
