What inspired you to make a career move to HNI? 

When the opportunity to work at HNI emerged, I was thrilled!  I didn’t ask for the position, but I was told that the benefits department could really use some help during what wecall “4th quarter madness”.  I jumped at the opportunity.  I believe HNI is a company that brings forward many amazing opportunities to individuals that are locked and loaded with ambition and a deep determination to work hard and prove their value.  This is what Inspired me to work here at HNI.

What were you most surprised to learn about HNI?

I was really surprised by all the support HNI provides to its new hires.  HNI really wants to assist you by providing a healthy/comfortable work environment.  This ultimately makes employees more productive.  There are many educational resources and people ready to help, with any questions you may or may not have, here in the workplace.  If you don’t know, just ask.

What would people be surprised to learn about you? 

I love coffee.  I express this everyday with around five trips to the coffee machine. 

How did you spend your mandatory 1 week unplug?

I went on a mission trip with my family to Haiti.  We put roofs on multiple community buildings near and around Les Cayes.  HNI gives its employees the flexibility to make traveling to other countries possible.  In the future, I plan on spending my mandatory time off by traveling to other countries. 

Why did you choose the Insurance Industry as a career?    

The use of technology in the insurance industry is growing.  There are always opportunities to eliminate human error by using technology to improve the precision of certain tasks.  I really enjoy using technology to help clients and employees win!
