Welcome Jennifer Janczak - HNI Wisconsin's newest Claims Assistant. With this being her first gig in insurance, Jennifer has discovered the various career paths, opportunities for growth, and just how interesting insurance can be. In her current role, she'll be tackling claims related issues along with providing MOD projections, and completing MOD audits.

What drew you into working in the insurance industry?

I needed a new opportunity that would not only challenge me, but provide me with opportunities for growth and advancement. I was looking for more of a career path and HNI was the right fit!

What surprised you the most about HNI?

The culture at HNI is unparalleled. I was a little nervous coming into the world of insurance because you oftentimes think about stuffy offices and the typical suits. But here, things are very laid back, fresh, new, and different. 

How do you plan to spend your mandatory one week unplug?

I love doing anything active, may that be camping, kayaking, fitness, sports, you name it! I'll likely be doing one of these alongside my two very active daughters.

What would people be surprised to learn about you?

I think people would be surprised to learn that I am a huge sports fan. I love to watch and play all kinds of sports and even played softball. 

My favorite team would have to be the Golden State Warriors.

Any advice for someone looking to get into insurance?

Don't be afraid or intimidated. Take lots of classes and put yourself out there - there is so much to learn and so many people willing to help you along the way. HNI is great at providing educational resources and support which makes this process not only easier, but a lot of fun!
