Bob Orzech

Orzech, Bob-1.jpgWelcome Bob Orzech - HNI Wisconsin's newest Relationship Manager. Growing up in a family-run distribution business has inspired Bob to dive into the role of a trusted advisor for alike businesses and make a difference in their organizations.

What inspired you to make a career move to HNI?

I have met with a number of agencies in past roles and felt they had an opportunity to do so much more for businesses. A lot seem to be stuck in an old-school way of thinking especially when it came to service models. This lack of change doesn't work for businesses today, which are so incredibly complex. HNI juxtaposes this to the nth degree. They are ahead of the curve and can really make an impact on their clients. This progressive attitude lured me in.

Additionally, I grew up in a family-run distribution business. Seeing the impact HNI has on businesses really inspired me to make a career move here.

What were you most surprised to learn about HNI?

95% of agencies I previously met with talked about their years’ of experience, 5 star service models, and their ability to win on price. I thought HNI had the tools and resources to impact organizations, yet I was surprised to hear it went far beyond that.

I am most surprised on how much this team focuses on where their clients are going. They are laser focused on removing all barriers preventing clients from reaching their goals. Many of those barriers go far beyond "insurance" which is why their team is truly full of Risk Advisors.

How do you plan to spend your mandatory 1 week unplug?

Most likely I will spend my week traveling. I've had the opportunity to visit a number of countries and even studied abroad in Germany, so the next stop on my bucket list is Prague.

What would people be surprised to learn about you?

I love to cook and I can do it all! My wife loves Mexican food, so that is a frequent item in our house, but I also like to cook other dishes, as well.

I am also an avid fitness competitor. Something about it has always been in my blood from traveling with an AAU team, winning the state football championship with Waukesha West, all the way to competing at UW Oshkosh.

Any advice for someone looking to get into insurance?

About half of the insurance producers will be phased out of the industry within the next four years due to retirement. Half of all business owners or those in decision making roles will also be nearing retirement in the next 4-5 years. What I'm getting at is that opportunity is abundant in this industry and that insurance is changing at a rapid pace. Find an agency that understands this, is open to something new, and is different and you'll have a very long, successful career.
