Welcome Andrew Mikulecky - HNI Wisconsin's newest Claims Mitigation Consultant. Andrew looks forward to de-risking business by educating managers and supervisors how to control their workers' compensation costs through claims tracking. 

What inspired you to make a career move to HNI?

I was looking for a change in career, having represented injured workers for over 5 years. This was an opportunity to switch sides (from injured worker to employer) and challenge myself to do something different.

What were you most surprised to learn about HNI?

That it is employee owned. Also, I was surprised by how transparent HNI is for being a private company.

How do you plan to spend your mandatory 1 week unplug?

Renting a house on a lake for a week up north (north of Hayward, WI).  Fishing, boating, swimming, and relaxing.

How will you help clients de-risk their business?

Workers’ compensation costs can be a hidden danger and if a company doesn’t pay attention, they can skyrocket out of control in no time.  I plan to de-risk workers’ compensation costs through tracking claims from start to finish and educating managers and supervisors on what they can do to save money.

What would people be surprised to learn about you?

Probably a lot.  But most surprising would be that I was a co-host on a cable access show in middle school and marched in the Rose Bowl parade my Senior year of high school.

Loyal, friendly, humorous.
