What is this event?
 

As an employer, there are many legal and compliance issues that you must be aware of. These laws and regulations are ever-changing and also increasing in complexity.

This 4-session bootcamp will go more in-depth on the most misunderstood and overlooked laws and regulations that employers must comply with, as well as best practices for making changes.

This program is for anyone that has a managing role with human resources, employee benefits, or general management. It will be a crash course of the most important topics that employers often get wrong.

Marina

 

MARINA MCKENZIE

Marina is a legal advisor and senior claims consultant. Marina specializes in Worker’s Compensation law and claim handling. Marina brings her experience as a workers compensation defense attorney to help clients better understand their risks, options, and exposures in the claims process.

Marina works with clients to strategize claim best practices for claim resolution and reserve management. Marina partners with clients to help them understand the totality of the claim and loss, how the claim will impact their Experience Modification Rating, and what can be done to not only help minimize exposure but to ensure the best outcome.

Marina has her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin.   

Mark Brault

 

MARK BRAULT

Mark consults with HNI clients primarily in the benefits area but can also be of assistance with the preparation of separation agreements, non-compete agreements, employee handbooks, employment agreements, and other related employment documents.

Mark can also advise on employee hiring and firing issues, ADA, ACA, FMLA, ADEA, Title VII, FLSA, COBRA, HIPAA, COVID-19, health & welfare benefits issues, and provide recommendations on a multitude of general corporate matters including contracts, operating agreements, purchase agreements and corporate formalities.

Mark has his J.D. from Marquette University.
