to effectively communicate your benefit plans to your employees.
We also utilize a variety of educational tools to help your employees
better understand how the plan works so they can be wise consumers.
Our clients tell us this helps them achieve two main results:
- Effective messages about the value of health benefits can
do more to retain top-performing employees than the richness
of those benefits.
- Employees who understand the intricacies of the specific
plan understand how they can better utilize the benefits and
thereby save themselves and the company money in the long-term.
Survey Says…
According
to a recent study, employers that provide rich benefits, but
have poor communication practices, the average turnover
rate for top-performing employees is 17%, compared to 12% for
employers that offer less costly benefits, but communicate
them successfully. Furthermore, combining rich benefits with
effective communication yields an average turnover rate of
only 8% for top performers.

In the same survey, nearly 20% of respondents
said they didn’t
know whether or not their company offered EAP services.
Not every employee responds to the same form of communication,
so we work with you to improve employee understanding of benefits
through three major communication vehicles.
Presentations – We
can either assist you with your employee meetings (enrollment
and/or off-renewal sessions) or present
them entirely on your behalf.
Documentation – We will provide
you or help you create materials that provide year-round education
on a variety of topics. Whether it’s our monthly Wellness
Works, Payroll Stuffers, Newsletters or plan-specific information,
we have the resources to help you efficiently provide information
to your employees.
Electronic – Utilize
our My-Wave tool as an employee internet for communicating benefits
information. If you have multiple plan options, you can customize
the site for each employee so they only see their specific benefit
plan.
